I grew up on a NQ family owned beef breeder operation before heading up to the NT where I developed skills on bigger sized operations. From there I went into the mines for experience in earth moving equipment. While in the mines I did some part time work to gain more experience - grounds keeping, fencing, quarry work and farm/ tractor work on days off along with contract mustering. I am currently finishing a Cert 3 in Business Admin and a Cert 4 in Agriculture with the view to do more study in the future. I have done Chemical Accreditation, Trainer Assessor Cert 4, Preg Testing, Business of Grazing as well as several business/management development courses. And am happy to do more in regards to development. I would describe myself as- - Get things done attitude -Always willing to learn more -Balance productivity with safety to ensure work can progress -Honest, loyal and professional
Bronte has been with me the last few months now and is still working for me. She is an exceptionally capable young women. She has been helping me with everything, I am here alone so as you can imagine there is a lot that needs to be done. Mustering, and then processing and handling cattle in the yards – everything that comes with that, treating, vaccinating, anything that is required. I have left my weed control in her hands, she knows how to use and apply chemical and is doing a great job. In her spare time she has been re-designing and remodelling my yards, which involves a lot of cutting and welding. She has a lot of previous experience from elsewhere and I am very fortunate to have found her, and had her for as long as I have. She has a background in livestock and is off a family place. She is very competent on horses and motorbikes. Horses particularly, she has a lot of experience in and is extremely competent. She also has a magnificent string of working dogs, she runs them very well – another asset of Bronte’s. Bronte is also very good with staff, it is a real forte of hers. She has spent a great deal of time with young people (troubled youth), employing them and managing them. Her communication, relationship management and mentoring skills are amazing, I have seen her in action and would say this is a particular asset of hers. Anything to do with selecting, and managing staff she can do. She is a great role model. Bronte has a great deal of drive, she is passionate about the ag industry and everything she does. I really do wish her well. I can’t recommend her highly enough, she is an enormous asset.
