'Gerard used to come and do some harvesting for me. He probably did 8-10 years for me, He used to manage a supermarket and he would take his holidays and come and work 2-3 months for me on a header. I run a contract harvesting business and I would happily leave him on a machine and he would run it without any dramas. Sometimes he would be in QLD and I would be in central NSW and I just knew I could trust him with it. He's a really good worker. he's great for my business because he s very polite so I didn't have any worries with him taking care with clients etc. He was good with machinery. When he first started with me he didn't know that much but he picked it up fast. I would only have to tell him once. If he didn't know something he would always ask which I always prefer. He had no trouble with that. I would strongly recommend him. He's just a pleasure to be around and well mannered. I think whoever employs him will be very happy with him. '

'Mark has worked in the ACE workshop for over 1 year on and off. He came to us with machinery operations experience but has also picked up new skills for different workshop tool in that time. He takes instruction well, has a good handle on machines, handling them with confidence and capability. He has performed maintenance and servicing on vehicles, forklift and other machines. He is very good communicator as well as being fine to work on his own. We would certainly have him back to work here.'

I am an extremely hard worker who is keen to develop and master new skills and I am not afraid to get my hands dirty. I pride myself on the quality of my work and ensuring that the job gets done. I have various experience in many different agricultural fields. I have spent four years on a broad-acre cropping property in Riverina, NSW. Here I was involved in all aspects of production as well as some decision making and planning tasks. I also have previous experience in dairy farming and am currently employed on an intensive dairy operation where I have recently gained valuable skills in AI. I enjoy all aspects of agriculture however my main interests lie within livestock production, particularly sheep. I have previously had the opportunity to trade merino-cross lambs and am extremely keen to increase my skills and knowledge in this industry. I have a young family and am keen to find a position where I am able to increase my knowledge and skills and also take on a greater level of responsibility. I hold an MC NSW driver's licence and also own my own working dog who I have trained completely myself.

'I can’t speak highly enough of Josh, he is a good, honest, young bloke. He was always on time, nice, polite and an excellent young worker. Josh came to us after a break bricklaying and picked things up very quickly, he carried out all duties on the farm; fencing, cattle work and dairy duties. We are a family owned business, my wife, my son and I, Josh fitted into the team well, he understood our relationship well. I couldn’t recommend Josh more. '

'James worked for us for a couple of years, Sep 2016-Feb 2018. He did a bit of everything, tractor, sheep and cattle, spraying. He did anything going. Reliable operator with machinery. Very good with sheep and stock work in general, he liked cattle too. Good in terms of reliability – always rang if he wasn’t coming. Good with punctuality. Communication skills good. No concerns recommending him, sometimes a bit disinterested in menial tasks. Would recommend him well above others and would have him back, if we had the means, it’s just a hard time at the moment. He left on his own accord. '

Hard working, honest and reliable worker. I am easy going, a fast learner, and willing to give everything a go. I enjoy learning new things and I work well in a team environment or on my own. I grew up on a farm until I was 12, since completing year 10 in 2012 I have lived away from home and succeeded in a few different roles. Most recently I have been in northwest Queensland working on a 110000 acre cattle station. Before that I was driving articulated dump trucks in the mining industry, both open cut and underground. I am a happy, fun and adventurous young woman. I love fishing, camping and all things outdoors.

'Jessica is still working for me, she has been here about 11 months now. She is classed as a jillaroo, responsible for everything from checking waters, cleaning troughs, fixing existing fences and building new ones, welding, machinery and vehicle maintenance. Anything that needs doing on a station, she is more than capable. She has been mustering, drafting and processing cattle; if she doesn’t know something she will ask and give it a go, she is a quick learner and picks things up no problem. She can go out on her own and I totally trust her. She is very honest and trustworthy and I would highly recommend her. I will be sad to see her go. '

All I want to do is to be given a fair go, so I can show I can work hard and give back to this company. I am willing to work long hard hours to get the job done correctly and efficiently. My Previous experience with working in a Farming & harvesting, provided me with diverse knowledge of machinery and how things work. It has also given me the drive to learn more about how things work and how to fix them when they break. . I have worked in various jobs in my short 20 years, I have travelled hundreds of Kilometres for work. Travelling from Central QLD to NSW and all the way to VIC Shepparton less than 200 km out of Melbourne. 'Billie did the harvest season with me, started October last year and finished up in Jan. She was on the header mostly, and did a bit of tractor driving. She had never driven a header before, she was really keen to learn and picked it up really quickly. She was responsible for the maintenance of the machines too (blowing down, greasing etc) and jumped at any jobs thrown at her. Working long hours didn’t worry her at all. She had been working on a sugar cane place before so is used to long hours I guess. She always turned up on time and was reliable. If she had a question she would ask and if she broke something she would tell you. I’d recommend her for sure. '

All livestock duties at the yard. His communication skills were good, I had no problems there at all. He was reliable and punctual, and good at leading a team. 'Ali worked for me at Angus Australia for a number of years as a Members Services Officer; her role was to provide support to our members, handle their enquiries, registrations etc. We actually moved Ali into the DNA register where she was responsible for processing DNA results mostly. She is very skilled, thorough and has great time management skills. Her communication skills are great, a lot of Ali’s work was done via email, servicing our broad client base; aged farmers as well that weren’t technological, she was great at handling communications with all of our clients. She worked closely within a team of six other officers in a very close work environment. She is a real team player. Her work ethic and punctuality were great also, we had no problems with her at all. I would absolutely recommend Ali for any future employment. '

'Tom has worked for me a number of times. Majority machinery operation – spraying, harvest, ploughing. He has also spent time moving ex farm grain, shed work, and performing maintenance on machinery. He is a reliable operator, he is from a farming background and you can tell that he has done it all before, and knows his way around. Didn’t have any issues with him at all and would happily have him back. He was always happy to put in the hours, you can certainly leave him unsupervised and know that he will get the job done, well. Definitely capable of management, I am off a family farm myself and he would be exactly the kind of person I would be looking for if I wanted someone to run the place. Farm management is where he wants to be from what I can tell, he has the drive you need. I would absolutely recommend Tom.'

I'm looking for a work with my partner. We are ready to start ASAP and looking to work lots of hours (50 plus). Currently in Brisbane, but can move for the right job. We both have driving licenses. Our last position was in Auscott cotton farm, where we worked almost for a year. Mainly our job was to operate tractors (John Deeres like 8310RT, 8370RT, 8285R, 8295R, 8345R, 9470RX, 6155M, JCB backhoe and Merlo) and doing works like discing, ripping, planting, spreading, rolling hills, hilling up, grader boarding, working with cultipacker, scarify, drag bucket, chaser bin and lilliston rig. We have had lots of training about safety, equipment maintenance and operating. We worked in 12 hours day or night shifts and 12 days in 2 weeks, so long working hours wouldn’t be a problem for us. We are not afraid to learn new things. In short, we are honest, capable of learning quickly, stress resilient, hard working Estonians with a sense of responsibility in what we do.

'Kaisa & Kenet did two seasons with me, both for about six months between 2016 – 2018. They mostly operated machinery, we practice row cropping which is a bit more complex and they could handle that well. They are both skilled operators and I was happy to have them operating our machinery. Punctuality and Reliability, they were fairly disciplined. Communication is one of their downfalls, they haven’t been in Australia long although their English is improving . They are both quietly spoken. I have no dramas recommending them both, anything around machinery and operation especially, they will be right. '
