'James has worked as part of our harvest team for the past few years. He has driven most machines on the farm including headers, chaser bins and tractors. He has significantly more experience and a higher skill level than the backpackers we have employed in previous years. James is a particularly nice fellow and I would recommend him for hire'

    Information

My name is Lucas and I am a 26years old agronomist, specilized in vegetal production. My last job was to experiment on potato plants, in Britany, France. I used to drive a tractor (mowing, drilling, ripping, seeding etc.) to make the soil labours, plant the potatoes, make and follow the experimentation plans. I always have a global reflection on the cropping system I work on. I volunteered just before this work (1 year ago) in a dairy farm with 50 cows to help the owner before she sold her farm, in Brittany too. I am used to do the milking (2x4 cows in the milking parlour) with the good hygienic practices, and with care : each one of them has a name. Feed them with hay bale, cleaning and taking care of the litter, cleaning the milking parlour was part of my daily work too. I also worked in international countries, so I am used to adapt myself to different kinds of job, and I am really openminded and curious about everything. I am really ambitious and I wish to work with great employers who I can help a lot and share with them knowledges and more. I live with my partner, Eva, who is also really intersted about farming, she worked a lot in vineyard too, so she will be happy to settle down in the country side. She is more experienced in housekeeping and cooking wich can be also really usefull for you. Please take a moment to considerate my application, I am really passionate by agriculture and skilled, I need someone to give me my first opportunity to show what I can do !

'We have a small market garden & orchard. Lucas has been helping out about three weeks. He is a lovely young fella, really enjoy working with him, He is an ag grad – has done internships in different industries. His English is good, makes life easier. Forward thinker, picks up very quickly the routine of what we do. He stands out and knows what we are doing and how we are doing it – strong initiative. Really interested in what we do, we grow biologically and he is very passionate about that. Partner Eva. Here purely to work and make money. I am confident they would be keen to stick around for longer than their 88 days to work and learn a lot. Lovely young couple, I’m really keen to recommend them. Anything Organic & biodynamic would be perfect, conventional farming just as good. Something broad acre perhaps. No hesitation at all in recommending them.'

'Marko and Sirli worked for me at the end of 2018 for about 4 months, finished up end of January. They were stacking hay mostly; tractor and JCB operation. Both competent operators. Excellent on time and reliable. Really good work ethic, can’t fault them. They’re very keen, we actually had trouble keeping work up to them. Communication is excellent, speak very good English and understood instruction. Tell them what you wanted done and they would get it done no worries. No concerns in recommending them, they would fit in well wherever they went. '

'He worked on a dairy farm for us as a general farm hand. He operated tractors (seeder and front end loader), milked cows and developed skills in the movement of stock etc. He was always very good and picked things up well. Followed instruction well. He was punctual and courteous and had very good manners. He was trustworthy with the machinery and left things clean. He was easy to get along with. His English is exceptional. He did some work that others wouldn't do and was a hard worker. As long you explain things well he will be great. '

'Adam was operating a harvester for us last season. We had about 3500 ha to harvest. He was a good employee. He looked after the gear really well. He is a good operator. He had prior experience so he just had to get used to our gear which was fine. He's really handy on the welder. He was a good communicator and if ever there was anything wrong he was straight on to it. '

    Information

Hello, My name is Liana Tyne and I’m interest in a career within the agricultural industry during the 2019 year and onwards. Growing up and now working on a dairy and beef farm, has helped me to develop and learn skills associated with farming, cattle and calf handling, pasture management and operating farming machinery. I have gained other agricultural skills through my school Agriculture farm, where I have attended numerous cattle handling seminars as well as working with show cattle and cattle studs. These opportunities have helped me to develop and learn more within the agriculture industry. The activities and opportunities I have undertaken have helped me to develop skills, such as the ability to work well in a team environment, the ability to anticipate, understand and meet the standards required of me as well as conducting myself appropriately in different situations. My work ethics are of the highest standard and I am an avid and quick learner and pride myself on effective communication and achieving my own personal goals as well as meeting team objectives within their industry. I believe with my willingness to learn, ability to adapt to new challenges and my passion for the agricultural industry, I could be an important part of your team, if given the opportunity. I appreciate you taking the time to read this! Kind Regards, Liana Tyne

She also moved stock on a motorbike. She is an excellent worker. A very competent, switched on young woman. She followed instructions well. I''d offer her a job. She's got a great work ethic. She used to work at a dairy a few mornings before school also. I'

    Information

I am a 26 year old woman from Estonia and I am looking for farm work. As I have grown up in the countryside I am no stranger to farm life. My family grows a lot of its own food and I have also been involved in that. I have planted different crops, maintained them through growing period, picked and sorted them. When I was 17 I started working in Vikerkaare farm as a berry picker in the summer, I really liked the job and I worked there for 4 more summers. When I was 20 I started working in a busy clothes store where I had 12 hour shifts. For a year and a half I also had a second job in a club. From 2012 to 2017 I also went to college, so during that time I understood what hard work is and I know I’m not afraid of it. I have had a lot of work experience in a team and because of that I know how to consider with others needs and value everybody’s skills. For the past year and a half I was an assistant manager in a clothes store which made me even more of a team player. I have no problem with leading a team and training new and old workers.
