Paraway Pastoral Company has a Livestock Overseer position available at our Pier Pier Station, near Coonamble, NSW. Comprising of 31,603 hectares, the operation is a mixed enterprise including; sheep, wool, trade cattle and cropping. The role will be responsible for supervising and coordinating day-to-day station operations under direction of the Station Manager. Key areas include supervision and coordination of other station staff and contractors, animal husbandry practices and maintenance of fixed infrastructure (fences, yards, plant). The role is a leadership position and you will be expected to represent Paraway at industry and community events as required, demonstrate a commitment to safety and contribute to building a collaborative and productive team. To be successful you will have a positive attitude to work, enjoy working in a team and have solid experience in; - Sheep and wool production. - Cattle management, handling and husbandry. - Maintenance and repairs of infrastructure, plant and machinery. - Supervision of other staff and/or contractors. The successful applicant will be required to live on farm with accommodation and utilities provided. Please ignore hourly wage. This position is a full time role with salary. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.

Pier Pier is a 31,603 hectare property owned by Paraway Pastoral Company. The property engages in a mix of enterprises; including sheep, trade cattle and cropping. Pier Pier Station runs a self-replacing Merino flock. When the season permits, Pier Pier trades cattle to be finished to feedlot entry weights on fodder cropping country. Pier Pier has approximately 5,100 hectares of arable cropping country used for producing predominantly cash crops as well as fodder crops for its livestock enterprises. The country varies from heavy black to light red sandy soils and ranges from open country to light timber.
