Paraway Pastoral Company is looking for an Overseer on Merrimba Station in Warren, NSW. Merrimba is a large-scale grazing and cropping property. Its primary enterprise is Merino sheep breeding and wool production, although it also runs trade cattle as seasons permit and grows dryland winter crops and irrigated cotton. Merrimba is situated on 19,097 hectares of open plains with some lightly timbered country. The Overseer's role is to assist the Station Managers in all aspects of the business. The successful applicant will be passionate about agriculture, hard working, motivated to learn and willing to work in a team. We are seeking someone with knowledge of cropping and livestock. This includes knowledge of pasture management, low stress stock-handling and basic agronomic knowledge. This position will allow lots of opportunity for growth. You will be joining a young and highly motivated team in a great community. Paraway is a progressive agricultural company with properties across Australia. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and an ability to hook in and get the job done. Please ignore the hourly rate advertised. This will be a full time position and salary will be commensurate with experience.
