Description

This short term job is during the busy period before and during sowing. A large portion of the work will be tractor based with discing, land planning, bedforming and spreading fertiliser. Livestock work would include drenching, vaccinating, feeding and yard work along with other general farm duties such as fencing, repairs and maintence and rock picking. You would be expected to be able to work automonously and also in a group. We run John Deere tractors with GPS and well maintained plant. Accomodation is supplied with a fully furnished cottage 5 minutes from the farm. A vehicle can also be supplied. Pay will be hourly with the rate determined by experiance. Working dates are flexible.

We run a family farm in the high rainfall zone of western Victoria 10 minutes out of Hamilton. It is a mixed operation of sheep and winter cropping. We run a self replacing prime lamb operation and a continuous cropping program of wheat, beans, barley and canola. We run late model John Deere tractors with 2cm GPS and well maintained gear.
